In true Mary fashion, yesterday was the day from absolute hell! Around noon yesterday, I was sitting at home getting ready for all of the Halloween festivities when I heard Charlie pull into the driveway. He wasnt supposed to be home until after four and I thought that maybe he got off early for Halloween. He ran into the house and announced that his mom was in the hospital. She had been found outside unconscious and was rushed to the hospital in Logan. She was completely unaware of who she was and who any of her family members were. We flew into action, we called my mom to see if she could watch Sadie, we grabbed her Halloween costume and were off. My mom was so nice to watch Sadie for us and take her to a trunk or treat. She took a bunch of pictures for us and we are so glad! My mom actually surprised Sadie and I last Sunday with a amazing Snow White costume she had made for Sadie to wear on Halloween. Sadie wasnt the biggest fan of the Indian costume, so my mom whipped out this awesome princess dress for her. She looked adorable in it.

No thats not my sister, its my cute mom!

When we got to the hospital, Connie had been moved to the ICU. We went in to see her and she didnt know who we were. She didnt know what year it was or who the President of the United States was (I could let this one slide because I think he should be forgotten). They thought she may have had a mild stroke. As the day progressed, she did a little bit better and the doctors continued to find out what was going on. They did tons of bloodwork and also did an MRI. Yesterday evening, her doctor told us we should all go home and get some rest and that they would take good care of her.
We left the hospital and headed over to Joey's (Charlie's brother) apartment. We decided that we would take his two little kids home with us so he could be with his mom. We got the kids and headed back towards Clearfield to pick up Sadie. It took us longer than usual to get out of the canyon due to the construction and rain. We were both so tired and just wanted to get Sadie and get home. We were about one mile from my mom's house resting at a red light when out of nowhere there was this horrible crash and we went flying. Some bone head teenager had ran full speed into the back of us. Arghhh! The kids were ok, thank goodness and Charlie and I got some nice whiplash. Our van on the other hand has seen better days.

We finally made it to my moms around midnight. We rested there for a bit and then headed home with three very tired toddlers. We got home after one and quickly got the kids in bed. Surprisingly, all three kids sleep through the night! Yippee! We are home today resting, Charlie and I are sore and stiff, but otherwise okay.
Connie is being transferred to McKay Dee later this afternoon where she will be seeing a neurologist. Hopefully, she will start doing better and make a full recovery.
We hope your holiday was much better than ours!
