Craftiness!!!

Last night, some friends and I got together for a craft night. We have done it once before and we had way too much fun, so we decided we had to get together every month. We worked on some SPRING letters and I must admit, I am in love with them! They turned out so super cute, I want to do more.

The best part about craft night is being around my girls. We laugh, we cry, we reminisce, we talk about life, we wonder about the future and we love and support one another. I am so grateful for good friends, they make all the difference in the world.

Hippity Hoppity Easter!

Our Easter was wonderful! The weather was perfect, church was more spiritual than usual and we got to enjoy watching Sadie get excited about all the things the Easter Bunny brought her. The Easter Bunny decided to come while we were at church, which was great because we were able to focus on the true meaning of Easter while attending our meetings.

I recorded Sadie's reaction to finding her Easter basket...it is priceless!

All material things aside, I am so thankful for the sacrifice of my Savior and his beautiful life and resurrection. This video is powerful and is a great reminder of what Easter is really about.

Egg-cellant!!!

There is nothing quite as exciting as coloring Easter eggs. Sadie was all about dyeing them this year and loved coloring on the eggs and watching her crazy patterns appear. I must admit that Charlie is just as crazy, but he did make me my own Obama egg. Now thats love, people!!!

Saturday is a special day...

On Saturday morning, we were able to go to the zoo and have breakfast with the Easter Bunny. It was super fun and we got to see lots of little creatures up close and personal. Sadie got to hold a ferrett, a lizard and pet snakes(yuck) and admire different birds. She was more afraid of the actual Easter Bunny then of the huge snakes. The breakfast was yummy and gave us a good start for our day.

Charlie had to go to work that afternoon, so I decided to take advantage of our new Lagoon Season Passports (thank you Jim and Connie!) It was a bit rainy, but we had so much fun together. Sadie has no fear and even went on some "really, big girl rides." She is hilarious and I was glad to be able to spend the whole day with her, even though my feet werent too happy about it.
Easter posts coming up next...

One year closer...

Tomorrow is a special day for my family and I. It is Taycee's seventh birthday...my little girl who I placed for adoption. If you would like to revisit or read our story, please click here
This just means I am one year closer to seeing her adorable face again.
