One year closer...

Tomorrow is a special day for my family and I. It is Taycee's seventh birthday...my little girl who I placed for adoption. If you would like to revisit or read our story, please click here
This just means I am one year closer to seeing her adorable face again.

Hi Mary, I am Summer Anderson's mom. I knew Charlie when he was in Jr High and High School. I read your story about placing your sweet little girl and cryed all the way through. One of my other daughters Jenny, adopted a little guy almost two years ago. So I know how much your gift means to the couple that you placed her with. It is a gift that is so special and so sweet-words can not speak the thanks that is in our hearts or theirs. But Thank you, for your love, courage, example and faith.

Oh my goodness. I know I needed that story this morning. You are amazing. It takes a very strong person to be able to do what you did. I admire you so much. Taycee is absolutely beautiful and I really needed that spiritually uplifting story right now. Thank you so much for sharing your story.

I knew that you had given a child up for adoption. I am so glad that I was able to read your story! It brought tears to my eyes like others have said. I can't imagine what a decision that was to make. You are a brave and wonderful person. When do you get to see her? Is it through a picture or face-to-face?

I went to school with Charlie- Starting in second grade. He was always such a nice guy. I went through the same gut wrenching decisions, I was pregnant at 16. I went through LDS social services as well. I however, decided to keep. I had a large supportive family & knew he would be loved. I remember the nights thinking about my options. You must be a very strong person to have made this decision, and gone through with it. God will bless you through out your life for doing such an unselfish act of love.

Mary, you are amazing! Tyson and I absolutely adore Blaine's birth mom! She is one of the most amazing people we know. She gave us the greatest gift when she placed Blaine with us. We feel so blessed to have an open adoption with her. I know Taycee's parents adore you too. I know they thank Heavenly Father for you and your sacrifice everyday. We love you for making such an amazing decision!

I don't think I ever knew all that about you deciding on who would be the lucky one to have Taycee. I loved to read the story and I loved the bit about Gay and saying HF was crying too. That made my day! Thanks!
