Halloweenie!

Last night we had our wards Trunk or Treat
where we got to debut the kids costumes...
TA-DA!!!
Ms. Sadie as TINKERBELL...
Mr. Brigham as PETER PAN...Getting pictures of these two together = IMPOSSIBLE
These costumes were a lot of work and finding all the accessries was a literal online wrestling match. Thanks to the eBay auction Gods, I was able to win the auctions for all of Sadie's Tinkerbell accessories, right down to the light up shoes. After last night, all of the work was totally worth it. We cant wait for Halloween!

ONE!!!

What a difference a year makes!
I'm still not sure how this little baby went to this cute boy so fast!
Brigham turned one on September 28th and we just had a fun day here at home. Sadie and Brigham got matching Elmo jammies that they wore the night before his birthday. We kept with the Elmo theme and got Brigham some new wheels.
Brigham is the SWEETEST, HAPPIEST, CUDDLIEST little boy! He has brought so much joy and laughter into our home and we dont know what we would do without him.
Here are some fun facts about him:
He has amazing hair.
He loves to flirt and act shy around people.
He is a turbo crawler, when he crawls, it is like he has a turbo booster attached to him.
He has six teeth.
He is super close to walking.
He adores his big sister.
He loves anything with wheels, nuts and bolts and shiny colors.
He is constantly on the go and is hard to keep up with.
He is very sneaky and likes to get into trouble.
He knows lots of signs (sign language) and his favorite is dog.
He can say mama, dadda and ssss for sissy.
He is in a big boy seat.
He weighs 25 pounds and is 31 inches long.

We love you Brigham!

Brigham's Birthday Bash

We celebrated Brigham's first birthday with an Elmo Extravaganza. It was a huge success and Brigham had a blast and LOVED digging into his cake. Everything from the invitations and decorations turned out marvelous thanks to a good friend of ours (thanks Chris!).

A spoonful of sugar...

This past weekend we went and saw Mary Poppins at Capital Theatre. It was AMAZING! We took Sadie with us and it was more entertaining to watch her watching the show than anything. Her eyes would just light up whenever something exciting was happening on stage. I think she whispered to me more than 100 times, "mom, this is so AWESOME!"
We had awesome seats and Sadie sat through the entire three hours. We are thinking about becoming season ticket holders at Capital Theatre so we can start getting tickets to Beauty and the Beast and Wicked.
If you havent seen Mary Poppins, you must!
It was simply Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

UP, UP and AWAY

Last Sunday, we decided to go for a drive and see the UP house in Herriman. It was built to look exactly like the UP house from the Disney show. It is seriously the cutest thing ever and the colors are so vibrant.

It is currently on the market for a cool $400,000...
Sadie demanded that we buy it, anyone have any spare change?

Wildcats VS Dragons

Sadie was all set to go to school at West Point Elementary on August 29th. She was so excited to start school and could hardly contain her excitement. She was scheuled for the afternoon, but she got up extra early and was ready to go. She looked so cute and so grown up! One of our friends little girl was in Sadie's class so we took lots of pictures of them together.
When I got home from dropping her off, I was looking through my email and found an email about Sadie being accepted into the Syracuse Arts Academy. The Arts Academy is a charter school and kids have to be placed in a lottery and picked in order to attend the school. We had put her into the lottery back in May and didnt think she would ever get accepted because we had applied so late. So, I was worried about what to do. The Arts Academy had already been in school fo two weeks by that point, I would have to drive her back and forth every day and uniforms were required. I told Sadie about the whole situation when I picked her up from school and we decided to think about it. The next day I took her to the Arts Academy to see how she felt about it and as soon as she saw all the art and murals on the walls, she said that she wanted to go there. So, we quickly filled out all the registration stuff, scrabbled to the store for some uniforms and got prepared for her second 1st day of school.
She has just taken off in school. She knows her site words, is starting to read, is a pro at writing her name and loves the art projects. She hates that school is only three hours and begs me not to come pick her up so she can stay longer and especially hates the short days. This little girl understands the value of an education and her excitement for learning is contagious.

So You Think You Can Dance???

Sadie had two dance recitals this past weekend, one for dance and one for cheer. It was so fun to see her show off her dancing skills. Both of her teachers told me that she needs to be on the competetion team, so we are looking into that for the upcoming fall. She is such a cute girl, she is friends with all the other girls in her class and is always cheering on the underdog and encouraging her dance friends.

Check out Sadie's KILLER moves...

Time flies...

I have been horrible at blogging lately...life gets too crazy sometimes but I wanted to post these new videos of Brigham. He really is a ham, he is the happiest, sweetest little boy ever. We just went to his 9 month check up and he is doing perfect. He weighs 25 pounds and is 30 inches tall, he is a freakin' tank!

Sadie had a big day yesterday...she lost her first tooth! She was so excited and nervous at the same time. Her front two bottom teeth were loose and we were able to get one pulled with the old "string and door" trick.
I doubt we will ever be able to do that again, it was a bit too traumatic for her.

Four Months

How can Brigham be 4 months?!? It seems like he was just born, while at the same time, it feels like he has been with us from the beginning. He is the sweetest, happiest, little boy. I can't imagine my life without this adorable, chubby face!
