This week has been so, so busy as we prepared for this crazy holiday weekend! Sadie had the good luck of her birthday being on Easter this year and we have had a great time the last couple of days. We had her birthday party yesterday with all our family and friends and it was so fun! We had an egg hunt and a yummy bunny cake. Sadie had a fantastic time with all her little friends and she got spoiled! We love and appreciate all our friends who were able to come to the party and celebrate Sadie.
Today, we woke up to find our Easter baskets that the Easter Bunny left for us. Sadie got more presents including the cutest new pair of shoes, Charlie got some new church clothes and I got "Enchanted." We had some breakfast and decided to let Sadie open up her birthday presents from us, which lead to more and more toys and a bigger mess. It was great to see her face as she opened each gift. We spent the afternoon at Grandma Joy's and came home to dye eggs. Sadie loved the bright colors although she thought that it was much more fun to throw the eggs.
Charlie took Sadie outside to play with her new carton of sidewalk chalk while I decided to straighten up and organize Sadie's closet. She had outgrown so much stuff and she had tons of winter clothes that needed to be put into bins and stored away. As I was folding her clothes up, I suddenly was crying. I was thinking about the day she was born, her as a baby and all the little special things that she has done up to this point. I know she has to grow up, but it seems like the time has gone so fast. I am so grateful for her in my life and for the wonderful opportunity to be a mother. Sadie has changed my life in more ways than one and has brought me so much happiness. Her big blue eyes warm my heart each day and her personality keeps me laughing.
Happy Birthday my Sadie Girl, I love you!

Charles!
I found a link from Jay's blog. This blog will make getting my Cheese fix a little easier.
When do you hear from U of U and what are you going to study?
Happy Birthday Sadie!! It is amazing how quickly they grow up, that country song "Don't Blink" really puts it into perspective.

Sorry that we missed your party. If you think these two years went by fast, wait for the next two! The older they get the faster it seems to go!
You made me get all teary-eyed, Mary! Isn't it great to be a mother? Sadie is SO beautiful! Happy Birthday/Easter, Sadie!
Your Family is Adorable!
Sorry, it was probably weird getting a random message from me through Rock. I ran into Dustin Thomas a while ago & he said he had been trying to get a hold of you. I knew I had seen your blog but couldn't find it again.
Anyway, here is Dustin's e-mail:

That sounds like a awesome week!!! And you must have had so much fun and I hope you and Rachelle and Carrie and your families are still coming to see us in Texas this summer. We want you to come so bad so plan on it.
Hi Charlie (and Family),
Long time no see. I found your blog through Justin Rammell's. I hope you don't mind me posting a comment. We're trying to plan our summer and I was wondering if you had any idea if there is going to be a 10 year reunion and when it might be. I'll be glad to help plan again if you need me to. Feel free to email me back to let me know. Your daughter is adorable, by the way!
