WARNING: This post may contain some talk about the exchange of bodily fluids and is not for the squemish or weak-stomached.
This past Sunday was our first time in our new ward. There was a sign-up sheet for a blood drive, so Charlie and I signed up thinking it would be a good way to support our new ward. Well, Charlie was supportive. I was too busy puking my guts out. It was just an excellant way to meet and visit with people from our ward. "Hi, I'm Mary Johnson, excuse me while I stick my head in this bag and throw up my lunch." I started out feeling great but slowly starting to feel sick. I thought I was going to pass out and fall right out of the chair. It was horrible!

Oh, what an experience! One of the best of my life and such a great first impression. I guess in the end, it was all worth it. I was able to finish donating and hopefully it will be able to help someone. I will just send Charlie to any future blood drives.

Oh when you get sick donating it's terrible. I remember that time I blacked out after I finished donating. I came to and could hear music, but had no idea where I was. They had me back in that chair immediately with the feet up. Mom had to come take me home! Geez, I haven't been back since..
P.S. Rachel started a blog!
I know how you feel. Chris and I donated plasma last year. I ended up passing out and seizuring. I spent the rest of the day puking and feeling awful. I definitely won't be doing that again!
That is a Great story!! At least everyone will remember you.
