Comic Relief

Sadie has been "on one" lately. Im not sure if it is because she is getting rid of all her pent up energy from being sick but she has kept us entertained and laughing the last couple of days. We had a very busy weekend and Sadie has loved every minute of it.

On Thursday night we were getting ready to go visit Charlie's parents and we were switching out the car seats. This is what resulted. Sadie buckled herself in for some fun times on the couch.

On Friday night we met up with some old missionary buddies of Charlies who just happen to be married. They have four beautiful little girls and Sadie thought they were pretty spectacular. On the way home, Sadie informed us that she needed a sister. Ha! We told her we would get right on that.

Sadie and I were on our own on Saturday because Charlie had a rugby game and had to work. We headed out to see Tales of Despereaux at the dollar movies in Sugarhouse. There is nothing better than to pay $2.00 for a movie. The movie was adorable, Sadie was a big fan.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday...where do I begin? Sadie was out of control during Sacrament and by out of control, I mean shouting funny things out so that everyone around us was laughing. It first started out with her grabbing a FISTFUL of bread during the sacrament and when we told her she just needed one piece, she replied, "Not just one, I need lots, Im a big girl." I was looking forward to the water because it is much more difficult to take more than one but Sadie isnt one to disappoint. She took her cup of water, drank it, threw the cup away and whispered to Charlie, "thats not Sprite." By this time, Charlie is laughing so hard, he can barely breath and I am trying to maintain some sort of composure. We thought that she would quiet down after the sacrament, WRONG! Poor Charlie was wiping his nose and next thing we know Sadie is shouting at him, "we dont pick our nose, mommy says we dont pick our nose." She is gradually getting louder and we see all the people in front of us giggling, even the Bishop cracked a smile. I was mortified. Needless to say, Sadie got to spend the rest of Sacrament out in the hall with me. After church we went to the park and fed the ducks.

Our Valentines play date was today and Sadie was so excited to see all her friends. The kids all exchanged Valentines and made heart magnets for their grandparents. I got the idea online and made the hearts out of salt dough. The kids used all sorts of paint and glitter to decorate them.

Arent they awesome?

And last but not least, for FHE tonight we talked about how Heavenly Father created all the animals and that we need to have respect for all things. We drove over to this old cementary where there is always a bunch of deer hanging out. We went at the perfect time, there were so many deer to see. It started to get dark and my camera doesnt do well in the dark, so I told her it was time to go because the deer probably needed to go night night. Her response, "they need to get in their jammies."

We ended the night with making some yummy chocolate chips cookies to bring to our neighbors for Valentines Day. Im so glad I have this funny little girl to brighten my day!

I think this has been my favorite post! Sadie is so stinkin' funny! What cemetery is that? How bizarre! The heart magnets came out cute. I'm sure the grandparents will love them!

That is too funny, and too similar to my life! Isn't church an adventure? I never know what I'm gonna get from week to week. I find myself at the store every Saturday night trying to find SOMETHING new to entertain her with. Gotta love having girls!

You mentioned that you were heading to Charlie's parents. How are they doing? Is his Mom doing better?
