SIX

How did this little thing...
become this spunky, adorable six year old so fast?
Sadie turned SIX on Friday, March 23rd!
The night before her birthday, Charlie and I went with a bunch of our friends to see The Hunger Games movie. It was AMAZING and we loved every second of it, however, we had a lot of work to do to prepare for the next day so we hurried home.
We decorated her door with balloons and crepe paper. We put a dollar bill in six of the balloons (thank you Pinterest!) so she could pop them and grab the money. We also put the banner I had made on the garage (pictured above).
She woke up the next day and ran right into our room and jumped on us until we got up. She totally missed her brand new bike sitting in the living room she was so excited. She had to be to school earlier than usual because it was short day, so we had to hurry and get breakfast and presents in.
Show me the money!
Sadie had two requests for her birthday: to go to the zoo and to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. She wanted to get up on the birthday saddle and yell "yee-haw!" So, we made it happen. We picked her up from school and headed down to Salt Lake. The zoo wasnt the best, especially with all the construction and renovating going on but we still had fun. Brigham was a maniac and just ran everywhere, we may have to get a leash for him.

First time around...
Second time
On our way out, Sadie wanted to hang with the elephants.
Chillin'
We stopped by the gift shop and Sadie got to pick out some things with her birthday money from her grandparents, she got a cute butterfly umbrella and some sunglasses. We rode the train and headed to Bountiful for dinner. Dinner was yummy and everyone around us helped us celebrate Sadie's big day. Everyone kept telling her "Happy Birthday" and commenting on how cute she is. When they brought out the birthday saddle, she literally jumped up on it. She just needed a cowgirl hat!
Giddyup!!!
On our way out of the restaurant, this older cowboy guy who was sitting behind us called out for us to wait. We turned around and he handed Sadie a five dollar bill and he and his wife wished her a very Happy Birthday. It was awesome. It was a great way to end the day and to remind us that its the little things in life that matter.
