In February, Sadie's school participated in a Reading challenge. Their goal was to read one million minutes as a school, each student to read 1500 minutes in 30 days. They were also encouraged to gain sponsors to raise money to buy books for their library.

We sent out emails to all our family and friends and the donations started rolling in and Sadie was determined to meet her goal. The contest ended the end of February and the school won a visit from CJ Miles from the Utah Jazz. We never heard anything about the individual prizes until March, so we assumed Sadie hadn't won anything.

In mid-April, I went to pick Sadie up and she had her arm full of awards and the grin on her face said it all. She had won THREE awards. She read the most minutes in her class, was the top pledge winner in her class and the entire school of 700 students.

We are so proud of her and thankful to everyone who sent in donations!
