On Friday, we went to Breakfast with Mickey and his friends at the Paradise Pier Hotel. It has become a tradition of ours, every time we have gone to Disneyland we go to it. It is fun, you get to see a lot of characters and is cheaper than most other character dining experiences. The food isnt too bad either.
The characters come and hang out with you as you eat so it is very easy going and you get to see everyone without waiting in line. They also do fun activities with the kids like dancing and surf lessons. The first two days, Brigham was unsure about the characters but he warmed up to them during the breakfast. He and Minnie were best buddies.

After breakfast, we headed back to the hotel to gear up for the Halloween Party that night. It was our first time to the big bash and it was fabulous. They close down the park, you get to dress up, trick or treat with Mickey and his friends and meet some of the evil Disney villains. We didnt know what to expect and we got lost a few times, but other than that, it was an incredible experience. The kids used their costumes from last Halloween which was perfect for Disneyland, Sadie was Tinkerbell and Brig was Peter Pan. They got a lot of compliments on their costumes and people even asked Sadie to pose in their pictures.

The highlight of the whole night was Sadie meeting Jack Skellington. She is a bit obsessed with him and when we saw that he was going to be there at the party, we knew we had to find him. The line to see him was insane, we waited for over an hour but it was so worth it. It was funny to see this cute, sparkling fairy with this tall, scary skeleton.
The firework show was spectacular, Jack was the narrator which made them even more awesome. We thought the kids would be tired and ready to head back to the hotel, but they still wanted to ride rides and get more treats although the costumes didnt last.
On one of our trick or treat trails, we ran into these guys...
As we were walking through Tomorrowland, we finally found Buzz Lightyear. We had been looking for him all week and when Brigham saw him he jumped right out of the stroller and ran up to him. He was hosting a dance party and Brigham and Sadie had a blast dancing the night away with him.
| Riding Nemo one last time...keep in mind it is close to midnight and these kids are still going |
On our way out of the park, we ran into these beauties and Sadie just had to have them sign her book and take pictures with them.
| The perfect end to a truly magical vacation! |
I am so grateful we were able to escape a little bit and enjoy some quality time together. There really is something magical about that place and I cant wait to go again. We may have to make it a yearly thing...it was a perfect start to the holiday season.
