So, yesterday morning Charlie and I woke up to the sounds of Barney the Dinosaur. We looked at each other and ventured out into the hall where we noticed the door to Sadie's room was OPEN! As we entered the living room there was Sadie laying down with her blankets and watching Barney. She looked at us like "what took you so long?" We just laughed and realized that we had to do something. Over the past couple of weeks, she has figured out how to open her door. She thinks it is so funny.
I decided to get some door knob covers to prevent Sadie's early morning festivities. I put one on her door and last night as I put her to bed, she noticed it. She was not happy! I said good-night and closed the door. I quickly heard her running to the door and trying to get the door open. I could tell her hands kept slipping and then she yelled something that sounded like "IM MAD!!!" It took everything out of me not to burst out laughing.
She eventually stopped trying to get the door open and fell asleep, but I am positive she will figure out how to get that door open! Let the countdown begin....

Of course Sadie will figure them out! I think often these things are more parent proof than child proof. Love the 'valentine' look to your blog.
How funny! She sneaks out of her room and pops in Barney. She knows what she wants to do. I think we are nearing the time of needing those as well. Kaden is constantly trying to open the doors.

Sadie is one smart girl, so I am sure that it won't be too long before she has just removed the door thingy (for lack of a better word) altogether. At least when she got out of her room she was being good and just watching Barney.
