Sadie's surgery today was a big success! Our day started at 5:30 am, we had to be to the hospital by 6:45. We got to the hospital late because the roads were horrible, but we got checked in quickly and were able to sit and have some quiet time. They brought Sadie a little gown with koala bears on it and a little bag of toys to have after the surgery. They also gave her a cute fleece blanket to keep (picture above). Charlie and I were quite impressed! The time came to hand her off to the anesthesiologist and tears were flowing. I was a mess, I felt completely helpless. Im a wimp, I know. Anyways, we waited anxiously and her doctor soon came and told us that everything went really well. He said that her tonsils and adenoids were HUGE and it was a good thing we got them out. We were so relieved. We were brought back to see her and taken up to the Pediatrics floor. We were put in a room that is super cute. There are paintings on the ceiling and pictures of little girls on the walls.

Sadie is doing good, although she is having some trouble breathing. The doctor and nurses are taking good care of her and she has already eaten a popsicle! We brought her Elmo and Barney videos and she has been watching them and trying to sing along. I am so grateful that she is doing good. I am thankful that Charlie holds the Priesthood and was able to give Sadie a blessing, it has truly helped!
